Nutella Fancakes

During the beginning of the pandemic, Zucconi Idea Agency approached me with a project to design jars of Nutella to promote their upcoming contest of “best pancake creation using Nutella”. This promotion encouraged families to spend the morning together creating their own pancake and Nutella creations and of course making great memories, which was perfect timing, as we were all stuck inside due to the pandemic. To get the juices flowing, I started simple; by making pancakes with my wife, and designing beautiful artwork with Nutella as my paintbrush. The ideas we came up with together in our small apartment kitchen, were the inspiration for the final pancake choices.

II spear headed this project, and it was my first “baby” at Zucconi. This project really gave me an opportunity to show my full range of abilities. Our team helped to make the final decisions for what “Fancakes” would be selected, and then we had the pancakes professionally cooked and photographed for the final production. It was a highlight of my career to be apart of the photoshoot and see how that end of the business is completed, as more often I work with shutterstock photos. The labels and displays I made clean, white, and light blue, to allow the “Fancakes” to do all the talking, and get the spotlight they deserved. This was an enjoyable project that will always be a great learning experience in my career.
