As an avid skateboarder, I love to design skateboard decks. I like to create shop specific decks for my local skate shops as a way to show my gratitude for what they offer for my local skateboard community. I’m especially proud of how the production of these boards came out, and I love how it showcases my typography abilities. I wanted the vibe to remind you of a typical EXIT sign that you would see in any commercial building, but I wanted the letters to flow in a way that I could imagine myself skating along the curves. Choosing dynamic colors that allowed each board to keep its similar qualities but be able to carry their own personalities was key to this design.
